In the late 1900s there was a pizza joint called the Unique Pizza Factory on Grant Ave in Millvale. I don’t know if it was truly unique or not but god damn if I didn’t love their mashed potato pizza on visitation weekends with my dad.

The Strip District has one of the faster growing residential communities in the city, and the Terminal is their version of Pittsburgh Mills. All the sizzle, none of the substance. This place will be empty storefronts within years. It’s as if no one learned anything from Allegheny Center Mall, and the irreversible damage it caused to the North Side.

The most insufferable part of the article was “The Parking Problem” write up. Quit catering to the suburban population (yes, I know I’m one) and tailor this to the people within walking distance. Any redevelopment plan for the Strip District that doesn’t include turning Penn Ave in to a pedestrian shopping district is a big fat L.

I don’t have any recommendations but I would say steer clear of Z-Trip. Booked one for an early morning flight to Tampa a few years ago and they never showed. I called several times, & “customer service” kept saying the driver was on his way - but it ended up that he never left. We drove like madmen to the airport and parked it in long-term. The driver finally called me when I was at my gate very apologetic and offered to pay for my parking but I said to not worry about it, I was just happy to be at the airport on time. He said he was sleeping when the call was dispatched to him & never left.
