The fact that you had not one but four previous employers state that you never made any contributions leads me to believe you never contributed.

I do three main things but they all contain a lot of pieces to the overall financial puzzle.
-
Review and adjust investment objectives and goals as needed. This includes both short and long term goals as well as updating a net worth calculation.
-
Rebalance investment accounts if needed. This isn't technically the best way to do it but once a year rebalance works for me and allows me to tune out the up and down noise during the year.
-
Review and adjust my monthly budget as needed. I have found this helps with keeping life style creep in check.

A lot of people love them but I never saw the need for an airline card for the occassional traveler.

You know it is a bad idea and want other people to validate your poor choice.
You have no money left to enjoy life or even pay for basic maintenance like oil changes and tires.

$1200 is a reasonable replacement cost for a counter top.
You have 3 options,
-
pay and move on.
-
dont pay and let it go to collections.
-
take them to small claims court but I don't see a way for you win.

Sounds like you care more about your job than your management team does. View things as they are, if slacking is part of the culture , accept it.
Remember it's just a job while you are in school, it is not your career and not your company. In the grand scheme of life , this job is just a paycheck and nothing more.
Of course the other option is to get another job if you prefer that choice.
