Reply to Someone keeps parking these stupid scooters in my driveway. Am I allowed to throw them out/move them/run them over? It makes it hard to leave my house by Hotsawce
I move them all the time, in my neighborhood people leave them on the wheelchair ramps at crosswalks all the time. I move them to a more reasonable location nearby.
They are heavier than they look and have an alarm. The alarm turns off when you put it down.
When I downloaded the app, it had instructions that when you were done with your rental you should take a picture in the app to confirm it was parked correctly or potentially face a fine. It doesn't seem like that is enforced at all.
I like the idea of them esp now that Scooby (RIP) has left Pittsburgh, but I think the implementation still has some kinks to work out.

I've had good luck with South Hills Movers. Both on a very narrow street (but not alley way) and with a 'down the street move' where they had to carry everything about 100 yards from one house to another.

Ok. Unsolicited advice. Make sure they label the cuts. My mom did this back in the 70s and we got a freezer full on unlabeled packages.
One night, she grabbed what she thought was a stewing cut. The “meat” disappeared completely so she served it at soup.
It was not meat. It was liver. Liver soup. It was so gross that 1) the dogs wouldn’t eat it and 2) it passed into such family legend that the story was told to me no fewer than 3 times at her funeral. (My mom was known as a good cook, so it really stood out in people’s memory )

So, I lived over a storefront when I was straight out of college. (In the mid-90's).
It is insanely convenient, however... any store selling food in a densely populated area is going to have issues with 'extra guests.' Some of these guests will have 4 legs and some will have more.
Population control with said guests is essential, not as cheap as you'd probably like and if you have a landlord like I had it's almost impossible to be reimbursed.
