So if Sony can't get the cost of the base ps5 down, can't get much more performance in a pro model anyway, and we're only 2 years out from the base console's launch, why would anyone take this rumor seriously?

I'd anyone actually asking for that? What percentage of people would be willing to drop another huge chunk of money to upgrade their console they just got in the last 2 years? What would they even charge for it if the base console is still $550? Seems incredibly unlikely.

What would a pro version even do differently?

I bet in the next 10 years Capcom will make another re1 remake to bring it in line with the re2&3 remakes.

Escapist in general is putting out a lot of good content and reviews right now.

Just because Yahtzee doesn't like a game doesn't mean I will dislike a game.

Conversely, if Yahtzee does like a game, I most likely will too.

I think resident evil 2 had a rare GameCube remaster, then the re2 remake after that.

Similarly, shadow of the colossus got a ps3 remaster, then a ps4 remaster of the ps3 remaster.

Not quite remake of a remake, but I'm betting we'll get there some day soon.

PC. Xbox doesn't have a lot of exclusives, and the ones it does have are on PC. Plus, PC can still access game pass. And PC has way more exclusives. I threw my living room PC together for $400 and it plays anything I could want it to.

A Valve steam deck would be a good choice too

Metal gear solid 5 phantom pain. Live the game, but I started and had to stop multiple times now, so I don't want to go back until I know I'll get through it all

I don't think the benefits of the controller are worth the price. There's a million other things you could buy for the the price that will give you that same feeling. Hell, you could buy a switch lite for that price.
