The FDR takes the cake for that. Trusting people to do 3 wide in an enclosed space and people battle for position at 60mph at 9pm really makes you feel alive

But it's part of the reason you can't just throw up walls in old offices and call them apartments, even in cheap, poorly laid out form. Or am I missing part of the conversation?

Well you need to change the building code and multiple dwelling code. You need light and air or mechanical ventilation for living areas. Hence the set backs, the courtyards etc of older buildings

Lots of people also think they're listening to tube amps when it's just a tube input stage and a solid state output.
Also different tube topologies sound drastically different. Output transformer amps sound different from output transformer less. Cheap output transformers sound way different than expensive ones (and they get pricey...)

Because the little dot is a tube driver stage for a solid state output

I've seen people obviously lost, but when I asked them if they needed help, they got real nervous, like I'm not asking you for money, I just know the train's a mess on the weekend

Reply to TIL the first official subway train pulled out to head uptown on Oct. 27, 1904. The mayor, George B. McClellan Jr., was on hand to start the train, but was so enthralled that he held onto the silver controller handle and drove the train all the way to Broadway and 103rd Street. by mankls3
I wanna ride on that open air train
