You really shouldn’t want to have your headphones at ear damaging levels. Tinnitus and hearing loss are not worth it.

Are you just nitpicking details or are you arguing that the answerer is wrong in principle and that we don’t now the size of the Galaxy or our place in it?

Reply to comment by StellarNeonJellyfish in Why are coastlines crinkly near the poles but smooth in the tropics? by emsot
As I understand it, coastlines are basically fractal in nature over many orders of magnitude, so no, it shouldn't. Shrinking or enlarging details beyond the resolution could also result in smoothing. So it really matters what the data and display resolutions are and how they interact. A Mercator projection could be enlarging polar regions beyond the data resolution or compressing equatorial regions beyond the display resolution or both resulting in different domains of smoothing.

Just because you haven’t experienced something or it isn’t a thing right around you doesn’t mean it isn’t common anywhere else. Jeez.

Reply to comment by KingTut747 in NASA leaders recently viewed footage of an underwater dive off the East coast of Florida, and they confirm it depicts an artifact from the space shuttle Challenger by marketrent
This isn’t true. In this NASA account of NASA history they call it an accident, an explosion, and a “fiery crash.” “Major malfunction” is just the phrase the announcer used when it became apparent that something had gone wrong. Besides, this is a news article. There would be no obligation that the writer hew to technical language even if NASA did. This isn’t a technical report.

Sorry, I misread that your headphones weren’t Bluetooth.
