Mostly friends and family. Some test drives and rentals too. And even a few strangers. This has been over about 7 years ish and I’m in my early 20s
I’ve driven one Porsche and just realized it’s missing from my chart oops
Edit:
Friends: 45
Family: 15
Test Drive: 9
Mine: 4
Rental: 4
Work: 2
Drivers Ed: 1
I missed one in there somewhere
One friend owned 9 of those. I think he’s on his 15th or so now. u/alzey8v

My favourite car to drive was my very first car, my 1999 BMW 740i Sport.
It was fast, smooth, and luxurious and very high tech for its age. Even compared to todays cars. And it’s cabin was less than 65dB at highway speeds, it was awesome

My favourites are BMW and Honda! They’re the only cars I’ve ever owned and probably ever will.
The most fun to drive from my list I’d say is the 8th generation Honda Civic Si. I’ve owned two and driven four. 6-Speed manual, limited slip differential and an 8,300RPM redline is a hoot!

Thanks! I thought so too! I wish I could have included more information into the graph but it got very messy. Engine type and exact trim of each vehicle would’ve been fun

There’s actually a couple I didn’t include in my main tracker too because I don’t have a ton of information on them. I know their make and model but not exact year which I also track. (2003 ish) But also they’re all identical and can only be differentiated by their license plate. So I think I drove 2 of those but it could’ve been 3 or 4

I’ve tracked this data manually in a Google Doc since before I even had my license. About 7 years of data. I used SankeyMatic to visualize some of information I collect. My doc also includes the year, exact trim model, the date driven, and who the owner was.
The oldest vehicle is a 1986 and the newest a 2022
Only 4 of these cars were my own
“Manual” are cars with a clutch operated manual transmission
“Automatic” are cars with a traditional torque converter automatic
“CVT” are cars with a continuously variable transmission
“DCT” are cars with a dual clutch automatic transmission
“Electric” are electric vehicles

Totally agree! The other BMWs in my list are an E83 X3 3.0si, F10 535i XDrive and an E90 328i.
Yours would have been awesome. What would be your favourite?
