That's not really an expensive area, so I don't think you need to worry about the cost of living too much. However, depending on your politics, you might be in for a culture shock. That area is very heavy yee haw conservative. That may or may not work with your preferences.

If it smells so bad that it's bothering the neighbors, it is more likely an unsanitary hoarding situation. Those poor animals are being abused.

You live in coal country. 99% percent of rain events here are acid rain.

Accurate. They had a huge influx of Hispanic immigrants. White people went to the suburbs.

Reply to My 35/M brother is moving to PA from Houston, TX in a few weeks - what city should he choose? by desirizzle21
If he wants to be super close to work, Wyoming and West Wyoming are great. There is a nice wall along the river that he can take the dog too. I'd avoid West Pittston. Its beautiful, but like 90% of the town in a flood zone. Of the Kingston area, I like Swoyersville best. Dallas area is very pretty. I'm assuming that his jobs is at the vehicle parts distributer that starts with a K. Just note that the closest highway ramp is 18-20 minutes from there, so the it can be a pain in the butt sometimes to get there from Scranton.

Depends on their contract, the amount of gas under their property, and supply/demand. No way to know.
And they are already likely very loaded. When I used to taxes my one client had gas land and would get $800-1 mil a year.

I think you'll be if you leave a little later. The biggest chunk of the storm is supposed to be through by noon Friday. Highways and main state roads will be plowed.

Just about all the restaurants in Jim Thrope are nice, but you 100% have to make reservations. They fill up fast.

Hmmm.... It will depend on what style you like. Autumn uses more saturation and filters which is trendy right now. Danni does more traditional. Both are great personality/professional wise.

All good. You'll be looking at $300-400 around here. Danni P and Autumm Breeze are nice. I know someone mentioned Leah Daniels, but I think she only does weddings now.

A capital "P" professional photographer isn't going to negotiate prices. They worked hard to learn their craft. It's very uncool to ask that of artists.
