In my albeit limited experience I’ve had some good ass Italian pastries and cookies from some bakeries on the island. Pizza is def better on average than the other boroughs, though that could be subjective lol.

I think most people who live on Staten Island for the most like to go to Jersey or the rest of the city for their own pleasure.

you gotta go at least once my dude!

Not all of Staten Island is bad (despite popular opinion) even if it’s just to enjoy the view from the ferry on a summer afternoon .

I would say for me most to least visited Manhattan Bk queens Bronx Staten Island .

I found that in my experience most if not all people that I know that live on the island want to meet in Jersey or the city further decreasing my opportunities to go there. Whether that is good or bad is subjective lol

For real, my family has had a Miele vacuum for like two decades now, good on them they still make bags for them.

One day the power cord got mucked up and we thought it was the end but lo and behold my dad fixed it with a new plug and it has been doing great.

Right to repair is so fucking important in reducing waste we should all be fixing and repurposing stuff (especially like this where it is 99% fine) where we can because we already have enough shit on this planet.

Although always be careful with electronics and electricity. Please always read all warnings and understand what risks there are etc. like don’t go trying to fix a microwave, LMAO

The only issue is the unsustainability of this system. It has been this way for many years, but in the last 10 years I think it has gotten far worse. And keeps getting worse and worse.

This might sound like some crazy rant, but I genuinely don’t know how people intend to source cheap labor going forward, if they keep displacing low income housing.

I personally expect huge pushes in automation, so eventually New York City will just become a cool, hip playground for well off college kids and “average” earning FAANG people, they won’t have to bear the sight of poor people who support the city behind the scenes.
