We are the singularity. Not creating an “artificial” superintelligence. Becoming the (singular) superintelligence: comprising both evolved and created processing, both computation and inference, and with an identity transcending the boundaries of any subset of individuals. There is no such thing as AI; it’s just increasingly complex tools to assist our intelligence, both individually and as a civilization.

I guess what I mean is that although AI has upped the technical virtuosity game a fair bit, this just highlights that the true art is in the concepts raised by a piece.

Art is the decision of what to put in a frame. How the content is realized is technical details. “AI” image generation doesn’t change this in any way.
Just like recordings don’t invalidate live performance, photography doesn’t invalidate painting, canvas doesn’t invalidate cave walls, opera doesn’t invalidate theater, and virtual synthesizer plugins don’t invalidate a frame drum.

Why are default judgements even eligible for appeal? If they want to contest it, they should show up the first time.
