they were far more natural, not caked in make up, no fake slug size eyebrows, orange skin etc...my first girlfriend...her style was more Joey Potter, not a shred of make up and easily the most beautiful girl I ever dated

true but the way a lot of these corrupt governments work is they don't do a thing till people start dying

completely agree but the way most governments work around the world is they won't build anything till people start dying...this stuff should have been built years ago and they can use wave/offshore wind to power it

I meant Crohns and colitis, not autism

Its similar with Crohns and Colitis...they haven't found what causes it yet but I would bet money on it, that its the Western diet (as its rare elsewhere) Stress and this. A combination of all 3, very closely linked. I have colitis but have avoided stress and changed my diet and see a massive change...I'm also autistic

how about just not making a new phone every year with tiny differences to the last one so the people addicted to having the latest Iphones stop trying to buy them all the time. Try making them so they last as we're supposed to be trying to avoid this throwaway culture but if new ones come out every year, you encourage it

Guess it depends on a lot of other factors. For me, I've been off work since 2015...every job before that my mental health always got worse to a point I was self harming at work. The last job I was taking over 100 calls a day, most abusive. I got to a point where my life hadn't changed one bit in years, I had 4 weeks holiday a year and never did anything during them, just stayed at home, no friends, no relationships. I wanted to end things for good but for the first time ever did something different, I booked a 3 month trip across the States. Was the best experience of my life. Since the age of 11, I had not gone a year without self harming so when I come back from my trip I refused to go back to a job. I wanted to concentrate on my health for once.
It took 3 years but got diagnosed with autism, I had worked some of the worst jobs for that and that's why I always got worse. I had a job coach for a while but we could never find anything suitable locally. Then Covid hit. I've since then found my passion with writing and done my first novel which I will be self publishing in the new year. I've used some of my savings to make investments in crypto (which aren't doing good at the mo but come next bullrun, will definitely help me) My home life has changed as my dad used to argue daily over jobs with me but once I got diagnosed he became the most supportive person. Since 2015, I have only self harmed once and that was during covid. To go from almost weekly self harming since 11, to once in 7 years is a massive improvement. I want to work but it has to be something suitable as I fear I will end up back in that dark place.

Reply to In France all new large parking lots must now be covered in solar panels starting in july 2023. by BuildingBabel
Driving around, hell even flying over in Microsoft flight sim, makes you realize how screwed we are. We could have had every single new build with solar roofs, all cars parks, factories, warehouses, shopping centres covered with them. Then you go around at night and see the amount of waste, multi story car parks all lit up with not a single car in them cuz they close from like 8pm till like 7am, shops with big lit up windows but not open, just pointless waste. The whole system needs changing.

drilling for more gas & oil a good thing, what planet are they on.
Also just read their trying to ban solar farms...mainly because its 8xs cheaper than oil & gas and they want to protect the profits on their donors

You can see how blinded by the media some people. I talk to my dad about climate and he falls for all the lies that the UK is ahead and doing so well on their part...yet are opening a coal mine and planning for more drilling for oil. Then you see this and people ask me why I have no hope for the future.
