YES!!! I was never great at doing it, but had some friends who could really whip it around. I was better at just locking up the brakes and trying to leave some skid marks on the pavement. :)

Nice catch!!! That totally rattled my memory. That would've belonged to my best friend's younger brother (which explains him riding past).

Yeah I think they were really common in basketball back then, and particularly a carryover from the 70s.

I don't believe so. I don't ever recall owning an actual Swatch brand watch. As best I recall it was just a digital Casio with the LCD that was common for this era (google "Casio F91W").

Thats fantastic. I was never really into track riding or jumping. I do recall the lower frame pad cushioning my "hacky sack" a couple of times when I slipped off the seat trying to jump a small ramp. Still hurt like hell though.
