Could be urinary tract/bladder issues. Male cats can have a lot of urinary issues.

How do artists do that with animals?
I've never seen a true photorealistic drawing of a human.
But that dog looks real!

OP do you mind sharing a little about your process? How do you pick the original painting and how do you decide what Gravy will be doing in the picture? I assume you must have lots of Gravy photos to work with.
