LOL. This is what makes Market Basket look like people are getting ready for the apocalypse before a storm.

Most of the laws are written so that there is a "Romeo and Juliette" clause and if you are within a year of each others age then it's O.K. What state are you in?

Reply to Squirrels in the attic by GT540MGamer
Strobe light. I had squirrels in the crawl space above my attic - just the peak of the roof. Only accessible by one air vent next to a tree. I tried everything, moth balls, pepper spray. Then I bought a camping lantern that had "strobe" and stuck it up there. That got rid of them, and the mom took all of the babies with her - a complete evacuation.
I saw a you tube video while doing my research on how to get rid of them. This contractor wired this space they were getting into so the house could run strobe lights all of the time! But, I just had to do it once - I also replaced the vent cover, which is usually wood or plastic with one for an AC vent - which is metal.

Hell, the entire North and South shores are also infested. Every time an empty lot(s) gets torn up you can see the little bastards everywhere in the neighborhood. They live in every empty or abandoned piece of property in Boston and it's suburbs. They live in burrows on empty land or abandoned industrial sites.
I grew up in Buffalo and they are endemic there too. My theory - totally uninformed, just a guess, is that any place that had water traffic has rats. I don't remember Denver having this many - although I haven't lived there in 20 years.

Reply to Why is Trick or Treat not on Halloween by every1getslaid
Some towns have it the weekend before. It starts getting dark around 6pm - and if it's on a week day kids are wondering around, dashing into the street from house-to-house. People don't get home from work 'till 4 or 5 or 6. Then you have to get the kids into their costumes, then they are dashing around, in the dark. Then you're home by 7 or 8. Kids are all sugar ed-up, and hyped about running around the neighborhood getting free candy. If it's on a weekday it's a late night.
We had it in my town the weekend before. Kids walk around on a Saturday between 4 and 6:30 before it's really dark. Plenty of time to get sick on candy, and much easier on the parents

Join AAA, and you can do most stuff at your local office. Why do we have to do this? I've lived in 4 other states and the Mass RMV is the worst.
