What's on the right side of the dishwasher? If there is a base cabinet filler face frame spacer panel anywhere on that base cabinet run, just either remove it, or reduce its width with a table saw. Then you can shift the dishwasher to the right, by an inch or two. Then, put an end filler panel right next to the oven, with a 1 or two inch face frame filler piece. This new end panel with face filler will allow you to build a 3/4" thick sub counter, to support your new counter. This is how it should have been done to begin with.
I've built a few dozen kitchens, including my own. I see a lot of Mickey mouse, hair assed ideas posted above here, LoL

Have you used an actual, correctly sized, high quality pin punch? I'm betting the right sized punch would work. Remove the gear, so you are sure you are hitting the actual pin. Apply heat to the shaft if the pin is stuck. Try from the other side, if the pin is peened on one side.

My newspaperman father used to call all of the mergers and buyouts the "mating sounds of dinosaurs", meaning that they were going extinct. The most important factor in the decline of newspapers was the loss of readers, not subscription and newsstand revenues. They couldn't attract enough advertising revenue after a critical mass number of eyeballs moved to the Web. Newspapers kept enough advertisers, and survived the onset of radio and then TV because they offered more detailed, comprehensive and local news. They kept there circulation and ad dollars.
It is interesting that for all their history, newspapers were joined at the hip with advertising. We all just assumed that they would always stay together.

Good point. That way, you won't bend the shaft?
