The context space of understanding the content within a spreadsheet versus a dynamic physical world (driving) are night and day in complexity.

Not sure this is actually a huge bottle neck. You will just dedicate a few people to always ensuring that the metadata and documentation is updated. That is then how data roles start to shift in an AI world. You then might not need a team of 20 data people, but can get away with 10.

Crazy thing is Cruise is going to do all this, and they're not even the leader in the industry. Waymo is a good few years ahead, and they just announced an expanded map in San Francisco and Phoenix, with their next efforts focusing on LA.

This sounds like me preaching to my friends. I fully agree. You could automate physicians today. Surgeons not yet.
Only thing that will keep doctors employed is really strong lobby and gatekeeping.

Yeah. I’d be surprised if we haven’t figured it out by then.

Does anyone else think aging will be solved by the time this happens?

True. But I still think it’s largely due to regulation and lobbying that will fight tooth and nail to keep it that way.
Otherwise people would only want a human lawyer if they have a winning track record over an AI lawyer.

Your statement doesn’t make sense to me. That might be true for every person born before 1980.
Also, if you’re in a car wreck and talking to insurance, you won’t even tell that it’s just an AI talking to you, so you won’t care.

They don’t due to regulatory reasons. But they sure as hell can be

Not that I’m in the AGI in 2025 camp or anything, but don’t be naive to Sam’s incentives here.
