I've worn out backpacks and shoulder bags. Never a rolling carry on or suitcase.
Do they break? Yes, eventually. When they do have the airline pay for em.
If your traveling enough to wear out or break a bag. You have status with the airlines. It's never taken me more than 20 minutes to get a brand new bag and be in my way.
