I've tried to use the warranty before and it's difficult to say the least.
I fidget too much with the charging port cover and it inevitably rips off, same goes for the rubber covering around the base which causes the rubber shell to separate.
The plastic has also gotten cracked on me once in a backpack.
But to my knowledge it is the most durable reliable phone case on the market that does an amazing job protecting your device.
I'm just cheap and hell on gear.

Do you have to use the plastic screen cover?

When you can, always go wool! It's $103 on sale right now. Bought them for both of my parents a few years back and they love them.

I disagree. Dude says he cares about two features on a phone. My best guess? Camera and phone. If all you care about is the ability to make a call and snap a picture you're not gonna care if your phone has the fastest browser or can use the latest version of Pokemon go.
And I think when you're talking about a phone again that phone part is the most important one. How long before it bricks. is it gonna brick if you drop it? In a pool? Off a ladder? Run it through the washer?
The Kyocera will do it. An iphone or galaxy won't.

There's only one answer for this and it's Kyocera.
Their whole schtick is just "Indestructible Phone". They're not the prettiest, certainly not the lightest, and they're usually about two years behind in specs. But I dropped my brigadier from four stories onto a concrete floor in nothing but a rubber shell casing and it didn't crack, scratch, or turn off.

Merino is definitely soft. It's far from being like the harsh abrasive wool of your grandpa's sweater or scratchy military blanket.

It's anti microbial and moisture wicking so it doesn't pick up BO like cotton and can be worn longer between washed.
Less washes = increased durability.

They do not.
So basically everything is done using old school pressure and tension joints. There's this guy on there who's basically building a whole house like that. Does it all in silence so all you hear is his hammers and breathing

Those look a little more technical than I'm used to. Do they not make the ones with just gears anymore? I can't find em online.

There's also hunting and fishing stuff on there. Oh and this dude who destroys rich peoples landscaping because it covers up fire hydrants. It's a thing of beauty.
And don't even get me started on the thicc goth women in fishnets.

Reply to [WP] The hero looks at you shocked and disgusted. "So... your plan is to make a... giant meatball out of every single person on earth...?" Scratching their head they frown and ask, "But, why?" by Affectionate-Row-534
"Humans are a plague on this planet. We're going to end up either killing it and ourselves or discarding our mother like the spoiled entitled children we are. I won't stand for it" I shrugged.
"You know I can't let you do this" Sorcha grimaced, tightening her grip on the magical sword in her hand. Dam thing was terrifying, you could feel the power crackling off of it, and in the hands of a master like her it was all but impossible to avoid.
"Oh I know, that's why I didn't let you stop me" I sighed, raising my hands in surrender. She narrowed her eyes and advanced slowly, looking over my instrument panel with a suspicion.
"But I did, stop you, this machine hasn't been activated" she smirked, realizing it's inert state, before slashing her sword through the interface. It sparked and sputtered, but didn't really do much.
"You ever try to stop a speeding train with one brake? Doesn't fuckin work" I sighed, stepping quickly into the protective faraday cage I'd designed for myself. I left the door open, hoping to lure my former paramour inside, but she wasn't taking the bait. "Any engineer worth his salt believes in redundancy. Nine labs much lower key than this have been activated around the globe. Used the CIAs registry of the mentally disturbed to find former cult members absolutely willing to die for a cause. If even one of em pulls the trigger, this cage and a couple of others will be the only place on earth where humans survive in..." I checked my watch for a countdown and smiled. "Eight Seconds. I can't stop it my darling, so you can either join me in the new world and have a chance to see it or perish with the rest" I smiled, grabbing the handle for the door. Her eyes widened in panic, and then I saw the rage. It would take her four seconds to cross the room, either to kill me or join me. When I saw the sword begin to rise I knew which one she'd chosen and used my free hand to fire the tazer. I knew she'd parry it expertly, but it would burn three seconds. I slammed the cage shut and flopped back on the floor, closing my eyes with a heavy breath. The pulse wasn't audible, and was impossible to feel in my little bubble of safety, but when I heard the sword clatter to the floor I knew it had gone off.
"And the sun rises on a grateful planet" I whispered to myself, pushing to my feet to go and survey my new kingdom of ghosts.

My old man doesn't even have Facebook, let alone reddit.
But for some reason he has Tik Tok to watch Amish barn building and Japanese Nail less carpentry videos

Fiskars with the gears.
Been using my pair for 7 years and just keep em lubed, sharp, and don't try to hack down whole dam trees like my old man keeps breaking his attempting

Welted leather boots.
Several brands, old school docs and redwings immediately come to mind.
But as long as you have the boot they can repair it.
But then again, that starts a ship of Theseus argument

If you want Durable, Keocera is the way to go.
They're not a flagship but their whole schtick is "We don't fuckin break.".
Once dropped my Brigadier from a cherry picker three stories onto a concrete floor and it didn't even shut down. Worked just fine.
But truthfully almost anything not Apple is gonna last you longer than an Iphone. That's not me trashing their hardware that's me trashing their habit of bricking their own devices to force you to buy a new one. They literally got sued for it.
Also a good phone case will help with durability. Like an OtterBox Defender.

I work blue collar in a factory so I'll definitely be using one of the sticky screen protectors.
That said the Spigen comes with a plastic screen cover that I see a lot of people reporting issues with.
