Seconding this - Baltimore has some incredible restaurants (I love The Helmand which is Afghan food) and walking around Fells Point is pretty cool

I think that Unconventional Diner might slot into this category depending on OP’s needs. It’s got really solid food at a good price for DC (less than $30 after tax and tip lol), but it doesn’t feel particularly cozy and its a pain in the ass to get seated on weekends

I recommend the Mondrian, which is about two blocks south of Logan circle. Here’s the link: https://themondriandc.com/
It was built in the 80s and is all concrete. I’ve lived there for several years and have never heard anyone else while in my apartment. The building is a bit old/weird (the fitness center has bookshelves in the middle of it ?!?) but I’ve generally liked living there and it’s fairly quiet. The only noises which I regularly hear are from outside the apartment (fire trucks).

I think they closed down during Covid and did some renovations. It’s since re-opened. I went there about two months ago

Post Pub near McPherson is a pub, not a diner, but fits the vibe you’re looking for
