I went there and I don’t think this was a policy reasonable people should object to, especially if they know about how it’s implemented. I knew suicidal students who suffered terribly because of the pressure of college classes. The policy is that suicidal students are pushed to a medical leave semester and are allowed back if they’ve improved, which is the part most people seem to find draconian—if your therapist says you’re still suicidal then there’s no reason you should go back after a semester. This gets portrayed as “students getting kicked out and not being allowed back,” despite being a very normal health leave policy.
