A lot of the highrises in Edgewater and North Bergen allow large dogs. My apartment in Bergen county didn’t specify breed or weight but had to approve him. He’s a 85lb American bully so I was concerned, I brought all kinds of receipts and references and also had him become my daughters emotional support animal.

I used to bring him to dog daycare at a place called Strut Your Pup in Guttenberg, they have dogs that come there for daycare daily and I would say 90% of their clientele are in apartments in North Bergen, Edgewater, Fort Lee, Cliffside and West New York. They also do pet taxis where they pick up and drop off like 40 dogs each day about half of them large breeds. If I were you I would call them and ask them if they could give you a list of the apartment complexes they routinely pickup large dogs from.

Yep. I got into an argument with the front desk girl last time I was at the wallington location. She yelled at me and said something super condescending about getting back into the lobby after a very nice security guard in the lobby told me to enter the building to keep the line moving. I was basically like I get that many of you in here are miserable but you’re not taking it out on me today. She shut up quick.

Last time I was in Lodi this woman was absolutely berating this older Spanish man for not having the correct documents but the man spoke no English and didn’t know what she needed from him. A bunch of us were all trying to help translate while she kept repeating the same thing in English over and over louder and more agitated each time. Zero compassion. The woman who took my daughter’s documents and license photo acted like she’d rather be in the depths of hell than at work that day and was openly talking shit about people she had just helped. But for my real ID in Lodi I had two really nice women help me who I laughed and joked with for a bit. Unfortunately more than half of the time my experiences with the ppl at nj dmv’s are really awful

To be completely honest with an income of 60k nyc is completely out of reach unless you have a roommate or partner. I sold my place because my taxes were incredibly high and the yearly maintenance was rough. Currently pay $3100 in rent (since 2018 and rent has not been raised) making over double your salary and barely staying afloat. Save as much as you can and don't buy above your means- something I wish I'd listened to years ago
