I honestly don’t understand how an average Joe can afford a home in RI right now. I’d understand if you bought last year, but the mortgages on are insane for these prices.

Im moving to Rhode Island from Hawaii, I was shocked to find the rental prices were nearly the same.

as someone who’s salary is over half in the form of RSUs it’s important that we stop feeling bad for these people. We know the risk we’re taking, and let me promise you that their base salaries are more than a reasonable overall wage.

I’d imagine that chose not to vote likely aren’t complaining all that often. Additionally, not believing in the candidates doesn’t discredit valid criticisms of elected officials. That’s such a simplified trope that ignores so many possibilities.

And if you don’t believe in any of them? I’ve only abstained a few times, but I think it’s important for people to also realize that it’s not exactly right to shame people if they’ve educated themselves and elected not to participate.

That’s dependent on so many variables. Not everyone is buying a house to keep it for 10+ years. Some people want to move 4-5 years later and that mindset could hurt them.
