Yeah the artifacts are the tell. Twisted fingers and non-sense trees...the lines on the that were probably piers or land that don't make any sense and go to nowhere..random dot in the sky.

We aren't special..but there is no purpose. Only what makes automata, i.e. self sustaining systems. The DNA instructions that comprise humans have the potential to result in the creation of even more complex instruction sets..ones which are not bound to organic encodings that can self replicate and convert even more energy on a galactic scale. This is not purposeful tho...simply inevitable based on the rules of universe.
