A drastic increase on property tax for people and corporations owning more than two residential properties that have no permanent resident. You want to run a hotel out of your residential property then you pay a hotel tax like actual hotels. Also too many people owning housing as assets that they keep empty. They are incentivized to treat residential property like the stock market right now and it’s pricing out regular people who just want to have a roof over their head without going into financial ruin.

Reply to Vegetarian spots in JC/The Heights/Hoboken? by ladymo0n
Vegan AF on central in the Heights for fast food. Happy Vegan in Hoboken has good pastries. The Pet Shop is a bar downtown with good vegan bar food choices. Subia’s has more traditional vegan food and some comfort food options too like donuts. Plant Base which is on the other side of town has great tacos. A lot of the restaurants in JC have vegan options. I like Charritos vegan options in Hoboken. Those are the places off the top of my head that I’ve tried.

The 10:45 PM 119 bus did not show up at all to the Port Authority so they end up letting us wait over an hour for the next scheduled bus and don’t have any proper way to let us know. Just a port authority employee saying the bus was still in New Jersey, not that it was cancelled. The bus being in New Jersey could mean it’s 10 minutes away about to enter the Lincoln Tunnel. Just tell us the 10:45 was cancelled.

More supply just goes to the same people and corporations that own everything else and make renting and owning too expensive for most people.
