I'm in property management and while my income is decent I live paycheck to paycheck and admit to using my 401k early to make ends meet. I also am a divorced parent of 2. No child support unfortunately but proud to own a home and live modestly.

I would have her reach out directly to RI housing and refer to their website for places that accept section 8. The voucher has a limit of how high the pricing is allowed to be and many apartments income requirements are high and not compatible with low income applicants.

I'm a patient; they offer some in person sessions but there are no psychiatrists only social workers. A psychiatrist is able to prescribe medications and social workers cannot.

I'm in the property management industry and unfortunately unless you have a private landlord there is no such thing as price negotiation with an apartment complex mill or otherwise.

Thank you so much! I was lucky to purchase in 2018 right before the pricing skyrocketed
