haven't met many that are, and the entire industry is predicated on moving technology and world forward for the betterment of humanity. For example, the group I'm in develops hardware to service equipment using the latest refrigerants for air conditioning systems. We do work to help lower GWP of refrigerant technologies, come up with systems and solutions that lower the amount of escaped refrigerant, make technicians lives and jobs easier and safer. That's how it's supposed to work. If you did the job, you'd quickly realize that no one is in it for the glory haha. There's none to be had.

lol they tell you an open house is to find potential buyers, when it's to actually find new clients for them. they tell you that it's in your best interest to use their home inspector, who gives them a kickback and hides issues. they tell you that it's a sellers market if you're selling and they say it's a buyer's market if you're buying. They tell you that you NEED to have a realtor even in a market where the average on-market time is 15 days. They literally lie through their teeth. "i worked in a real estate office" no wonder you're defending that entire fucked up den of losers and thieves. Fuck the entire industry. I've bought every house I've owned without a realtor saving me tens of thousands of dollars EACH TIME. We don't have realtors when we sell a used car, you don't need a realtor to sell a house.

the profession revolves around being a scumbag. You can't be a realtor, do your job, and not be a scumbag. The entire industry is predicated on predatory behavior and lying to clients.

are you drying the meat in the fridge uncovered for like 12-24 hours? on a wire cookie cooling rack? you want dry air on all sides of the meat so it loses all the moisture. the heavy seasoning / salting is what sucks the moisture out of the "crust" of the steak and it collects in a cookie sheet used as a drip pan

take your steak out of the packaging and place on a wire rack on a cookie sheet 24 hours before cooking. salt generously and freshly grind black pepper, coating all sides with salt. then place wire rack in the refrigerator uncovered for 24 hours, 4 hours minimum but longer is better. get your cast iron pan with neutral oil just to the smoke point and drop it in. I like the 1-2 min per side and keep flipping until internal temp registers 120-125, then rest for 5 minutes and slice against the grain.

true, but everything shipped via the slow boat is getting put into a container regardless, so it might as well all be in YOUR container lol
jinbtown t1_j9kvyqp wrote
for other people moving internationally - spend the 4-5k on a 20' container. Put everything inside the container. Collect the entire container when you get to where you're going.
You can also split containers with other people, this is very popular for popular expat destinations

interesting. I know for certain my Bosch has a check valve, but it also has a metal mesh filter to prevent food particles from ending up in the sump.

This is my understanding as well. Nothing to do with the pumped wastewater reentering the dishwasher.
What I'm confused about is, doesn't every dishwasher have a check valve on the drain pump outlet, or in the drain hose?

Reply to comment by Prophetshark in Does garage door insulation need to be evenly distributed? by Prophetshark
styrofoam is already insanely light. It's the lightest possible insulation there is for a garage door. It sounds like your springs are incorrect size range for the weight of the garage door, and springs can't be overtightened, they need to be replaced with a proper spring. Do you own a bathroom scale? Disconnect your garage door opener and set the scale under the door and see how much weight is on the door, it should be 8-10 lbs.

they are wrong on a few points. Do not cover or block your source of make up air unless you are positive you know what you're doing.

You have no idea what make up air in a utility room is for.
If your kitchen exhaust fan is running and your atmospheric vented appliance is also running, it can absolutely suck the CO exhaust right into the house. People have died from this - that's why on new builds, it's required by code to have a flue damper sensor so they know if the exhaust is being pulled into the home. OP may not have this. 99% of furnaces do not have the capability to detect CO or O2 levels.

no, a DNR can often include medical non intervention clauses including no defibrillation. There are also out of hospital versions which include paramedics, caretakers, and EMT's.
>A do not resuscitate order (DNR) is a medical order signed by an adult patient and their doctor ordering that no cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) be performed on the patient in the event of cardiac or respiratory arrest, even if CPR would save the patientβs life. CPR includes cardiac compression, endotracheal intubation, artificial ventilation, defibrillation, and other related medical procedures.
