There was some comet recently where I took my kids and a few friends out to a high, dark spot. We spotted it, with our naked eyes!!
"Is it going fast?" my youngest child asked.
Hella fast. Screaming. Everything is always moving, but it's so far away it appears to be standing still.

I remember comet Hale-Bopp. I've always been looking up at the night sky, but one day in 1997 I was playing an open mic at a shitty dive bar. I stepped outside deliberately to see if I could see it - in town and all - and there it was.
Magic. I remember. ❤️

That's cool. I get that it's simulated, but what a neat idea!

It seems strange to me that the moon has no weather. I know it has no atmosphere, but every second of my life has been spent on Earth, where weather is unavoidable.
It's still up there? So weird.

If you flip a quarter to make investing decisions, you'll be right about half the time.
Jim Cramer: dumber than a quarter.

Is this real speed, or sped up? The Earth appears to move quite a bit, but I think that's mostly camera swing.

I get east and west mixed up 100% of the time. It's not intermittent - if I don't pause for a split second to make sure, I'll get them exactly backward, every time.
Once it pissed me off and I resolved to keep east and west straight instinctively, dammit. I did; and then I started to mix up drive and reverse in my car. Fine, fuck it, east/west confusion isn't particularly dangerous, I'll just go back to that. 😡😄
tl;dr: I get you.

Shit. Send a message to that ship we dispatched 20 years ago. Tell them to turn around. Oh, boy are they in for a rude surprise if this message doesn't reach them in time. 😬
