There’s a brand new Luther movie on Netflix now, it had been a while since I’d seen the series so I did a rewatch. It’s on Hulu at the moment, but only for another week or so.

Alice Morgan (Luther)
Brilliant, high functioning psychopaths are very, very rarely female characters. She was detached and surgical about it too. Torture and big bloody displays were never her bag.

Yeah, I don’t think the no Jedi thing hurt them at all. I really dig the birth of the rebellion stuff. Also, anyone who’s ever seen any Star Wars knows empire=bad, but you never really see how it affected main street…just normal folks trying to make a living and along come these goons putting their boot on everyone’s neck.

Andor had me in the first ten minutes.
When he accidentally killed that corporate security goon, I thought holy cow…..that’s a Star Wars first. An accidental killing?
Star Wars for grownups who can appreciate nuance really appeals to me.
Sure, tastes vary…some people liked child Anakin, the love scenes on Naboo and Jar Jar….but I wasn’t one of them.
Not even going to get started on the post-Empire movies….

The LG version of the app began locking up every time a patch or two ago. I run it on my IPad and screen mirror it to the big screen and that works fine.

It’s still Luther. There’s kind of a crazy storyline compared to the series, but overall I liked it.
Andy Serkis is the big bad. He’s always a treat.
