Thank you so much for the suggestions!
I was pretty altitude sick coming from 12 meters above sea-level Philadelphia to 2600 meters Bogota yesterday when I arrived. I was pretty nauseous, so I googled and ordered Ajiaco because it sounded comforting — it was delicious!
I had tamarind juice with lemon juice and basil with this meal, and it was out of this world. I have decided I am going to drink juice with every meal since it's so much more fresh than I can get in the states, and it's so inexpensive.

It's the steak, though. Super chewy and the bread is VERY soggy as you'd expect. Still in the spirit of the day, though!

I didn't know the Birds would be in the Superbowl when I bought non-refundable tickets for a vacation in Colombia. I found an ex-pat neighborhood that is serving cheesesteak ingredients on big piece of toast (almost like French toast).
It's okay — it definitely doesn't hit the same, but it's in the spirit of the day. Headed to a sports bar soon to pre-game!

It's a phenomenal town! I have enjoyed myself even though the first couple of days I had some pretty bad altitude sickness. I had no idea Bogota was as high up as it is — apparently the third highest nation capital of the world.
