I hate to say this, but it appears like Bing could actually overtake Google in the coming years if ChatGPT works with web search in the same creative way. It could also summarize the search results in a way that means you don't have to browse some random websites or watch some crappy 7 year old youtube videos but just get the information. Like for example, I had to search what the error code E1 meant on my dishwasher in google. I got some user manuals I could search manually through, a few websites that had the code but had different solutions to solving the problem, and I just asked chatGPT the same question and this is the result:

I had turned the valve off to the dishwasher when I worked on the garbage disposal and forgot to turn the valve back on, and with a simple explanation of the code I knew what I needed to do. Easy. And I was able to figure that out a lot simpler with ChatGPT and it isn't even doing bing search, it is just the chat client.

The problem with regulation is that it only extends so far. Do you think the Chinese AI will be developed with the same ethical considerations? The cat is out of the bag, you can't put it back in. People with terrible ideas are going to train their own AI models to do unethical things and there's basically nothing we can do about it anymore except prepare for whatever may come our way.

This list is extremely impressive although I feel like it might take a little longer to map the oceans.

I am a little concerned about it being able to understand our emotions based on speech, so that it can tailor it's interaction with us based on what it thinks it understands about us from our emotional state.

They started manufacturing plant in China, which stole their IP and made hoverboards with LEDs and a million other things and they were so wildly successful in the knockoffs that when Segway sued them for blatant IP theft, they decided to just buy Segway. I also use the literal Chinese Propaganda arm of the CCP as a trusted source of information. I don't understand why these kinds of posts are even allowed.
