Yeah... It says the dude invented it after he moved to Springfield, Massachusetts in the 1890s so I would say yes a Canadian did it but "Canada" did not as he did it in the USA. It's an American sport, therefore, as we are a nation of immigrants. Doesn't matter where he came from. Melting pot. Checkmate, eh?

I am American and upvoting you for truth. I despise a lot of the atrocities committed by the Soviets and of course the Nazis, but we did bad stuff too. Like use Wernher von Braun to go to the moon after he shot rockets at London (the V-2s namely) that were built by concentration camp labor. And bomb Dresden to pieces. And firebomb Tokyo to pieces.

Yeah and millions of kids lived thru holocaust ... Stands to reason NYC, a mecca for European Jews for more than a century and a city of millions, would have more than its share. Just a thought. I believe it. There are probably more than 100 or 1000 even in Atlanta, GA where I live as its also a metro area of millions with a thriving Jewish community not to mention all kinds of diversity anyhow
