Reply to Sorry for the million posts! The RMV has postponed my license suspension for 60 days while they "investigate." Thanks u/SchminksMcGee for suggesting contacting the local news, it's working! And they're digging into the craziness of anyone who drives in MA for 30 days being required to dual-register. by bostonshopper
I just cannot fathom someone being enough of a busybody to report you to the RMV.
Loads of cars in my building’s garage have out of state plates, it’s never occurred to me to call the RMV. I’m baffled and slightly fascinated about the mindset of the person who reported you.

Reply to Don’t ride your scooter on sidewalk by jamesishere
I hate these scooters so much. There is a shithead in Quincy who rides it very fast on the sidewalk. He frequently zooms very close to me and my dog, which obv scares the shit out of the dog, who goes nuts barking. Then the guy makes shitty comments. This has happened multiple times, so I’m assuming that it is on purpose.

Reply to comment by TDKevin in Man dies after touching 3rd rail at MBTA's Downtown Crossing station by riski_click
I recently saw a guy off his face, stumbling and leaning over the edge of the southbound red line platform at Downtown Crossing. There was a train about to arrive and I was too far away to get to him in time.
Another person on the platform grabbed him and pulled him back just in time. My heart was in my mouth, I honestly thought I was going to see him die.

Reply to comment by spaceflower890 in I took a 2 1/2 hour flight from Chicago to Boston. It took me 2 1/2 hours to get from Logan to Watertown Square by jenkneefur28
It was earlier than that. I left work early, around 1:30pm, and there was already a 42-minute delay on my drive from the South End to Neponset Circle.
I went Dot Ave/Old Colony/Morrissey in the end and there was a ton of traffic there too.

Reply to Passport renewal, likelihood of getting an appointment tomorrow? How can I improve my chances? by millystelescope96
Are you an American citizen? One of your comments says that you are not. In that case, the passport centers here can’t help you, you will need to contact the embassy of the country that issued your passport.

My thought was, Christmas is on a weekend this year, as is New Year, so places are likely to be closed etc. That’s why I didn’t mention the $10 pass.

Yes, Salem is where they took place. It’s an absolute tourist nightmare this time of year, but you’ll be fine in December. The Peabody Essex museum is really interesting too. Salem is $16 return from North Station.

I’d suggest taking the commuter rail up to Newburyport, Rockport or Gloucester. It’s $24 each for a return ticket from North Station.(Gloucester is $2 cheaper).
Salem is pretty and interesting too. That’s a shorter trip, but you might have done that last time.

Neponset Bridge, the light by UMass on Morrissey Boulevard, Old Colony Ave when the fucking Baldors truck blocks an entire lane delivering to Tatte, the light at the end of the W Fourth St bridge with the guy who walks up the middle of the two lanes… more or less all of it.
