That is absolutely false, a ton of Cougs call it Wazzu and we even had a football game this year where they put “Wazzu” in script on the side of our helmets. There was an attempt by administration a while back to shed the name but it’s been fully embraced at this point.

If I’m reading that article correctly and the current weather forecasts are accurate then there shouldn’t be major impacts to your drive. Maybe a 1-3” a day at top of the pass this weekend and some wind/rain on the rest of your drive, but nothing that would make me think you’d need to make alternate plans.

Since you’re in Pullman do you have proper snow tires on your car? Those make more of a difference than AWD does, and combining the two gives you a lot more control and traction. I definitely agree with everything the others are saying here though!

Like… the Salish Sea by definition encompasses Puget Sound, the Straight of Juan de Fuca, and the Straight of Georgia going up into BC. Too many people think it’s just another name for the Sound
