Not sure why you were downvoted, but yeah,we are in for some ugly economic times. Also, Covid is coming back. We're stepping way back to 2020, baby! (/r/coronavirus)

I highly doubt they are going to open any more anytime soon...the two stores they have in the burbs seem to be doing horribly, but yeah, there are half to nearly finished stores all over the damn place now. What a waste.

Eh, as someone who has shopped both, I always end up back at Aldi. Lidl does have a pretty extensive selection of meats, but they always seem to be out of stock of the most common other items, or they don't carry it to begin with (like blue cheese crumbles??). Produce, if they have it in stock, seems to be in worse shape than Aldi, and prices overall have gone from pretty good to meh. I tried to shop at the Lidl in Cherry Hill the other day and I ended up just walking out halfway through (I did return my items though)...half the stuff I needed wasn't there and I realized I'd save more if I went to Aldi the next day.

Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. "Gimme five bees for a quarter," you'd say.

Have you been under a rock the last 10 years? Giant has moved into the city and continues to open new locations.

There's one in Bensalem too (ex Pathmark) and another in Langhorne.

Not really that surprising. This chart is the 'Philadelphia market', not just in the city itself. Giant and Wegmans have pretty much chased Acme out of the suburbs...Philly itself (and NJ) are their real strongholds. A lot more Giant stores and Wawa's in the burbs. If the chart was only looking at Philly, Acme would probably be #2 after ShopRite (just a guess).

That only applies to the original purchaser. OP said it was a rental car, then the Aunt. I think subsequent owners only get 5 years.60k, which would probably put it out of warranty at this point.

I think they still do testing but you only need it every couple years and it is still 'free'.
