Reply to Visiting Birmingham, AL. Looks like someone has Dr. Brad Bradshaw beat in the sign department. by arcticmischief
Used to live down in that area and Shunnarah is all over the place. He is even advertising in nearby states like Georgia and Tennessee. He also has or had a standing deal with billboard companies that if they had any openings he would take them for a certain rate.
It’s so bad down there that other businesses are doing parodies on his billboards.

Reply to [Recommendation] anyone have a recommendation for a Auto body repair shop in town? Thanks by phoenixblaqk
Hammers is one of the few remaining locally owned body shops in town. They’ve always have done solid work. Many other shops like Tanners and Dodson-Williams have sold out to national brands.
Just take it to Hammers.

Wilson’s Creek Battlefield will be completely free to visit now at the start of the year. Might be worth checking out their museum on site and a drive around out there.

I would imagine if there was a strong enough presence of people showing up to City Council meetings asking them to modify the dates they would reconsider. It would take some work on the backend but the payment deadline is by far the worse time of the year for majority of families.

Stay on the Nature Trail and you should be good. The dedicated mountain bike trails are called Dirt66. Everything is labeled pretty well put there.

Reply to comment by Cold417 in I am new to Springfield, Mo. Who is the most famous musician from here, past or present? by covfefe_cove
Came here to say this. Most people don’t know that two of the most recognizable songs from the 80s came from a guy who calls Springfield his home. I believe he used to be part owner in a studio downtown and also still has a home here on the east outskirts of town.
