I wanted to go towards Philadelphia and went towards Pittsburgh. I turned around because the next exit was 1 hour away.

Sorry, should have been more clear. There was an opening on the off ramp to the left so I turned around there and went off there. I did not go backwards. And yes I essentially went on through that toll booth and then right back off of it.
