Thank you for the tips. I am luckily respectful enough to nature to never tempt fate with animal encounters and we will definitely get bear spray. I have two kids so can never be too careful out there. I did hear about the 80ft cliff diving and would love to play daredevil with my son but his dad would probably die of a heart attack if we tried. We are in the area for two solid weeks traveling from Jasper to Lake Louise to Banff and Waterton.

Gorgeous! Visiting here in July. I absolutely cannot wait, hoping to do the Maligne canyon trail. Trying to educate myself on the tourist traps so I avoid the busy crowds as much as possible. I am sure it will be tough going in summer though!
