I worked in a district where a principal got a DWI. He was removed from his position in the building and given a promotion to upper admin. He ended up as my supervisor, great admin, nice guy, just had problem with booze. Eventually he tripped up again and was asked to leave. Sad story, the teachers loved him, the kids loved him but he couldn't overcome his alcohol addiction.

Just voted a little while ago (southeast PA) some flyers being handed out by both parties, everything friendly, election personnel helpful and pleasant. No intimidation, voting a breeze, no crowds. My husband had a mail in vote but decided to vote in person with no issue - he just was required to full out a short form when he surrendered the ballot.

We have the clowns that have their big American flags flying proudly on poles upside down after the 2020 election. Also the "Trump/Pence" signs. Oh, and "F+++ Joe Biden painted on the side of their barn. Or "Let's Go Brandon" sign on the lawn of a school board member. We also have those with their homegrown signs on white sheets nailed on wooden frames with their custom personal messages on them. Can't make this stuff up.

Sadly, this is so dead on and like you I'm old enough to watch the sideshow. Will the election results dramatically effect my life, prob not. Who it will effect are my children and grandchildren, although maybe not as much as others. The vitriol is disturbing and when I see the quality of the candidates it frightens me. Those less fortunate/ignorant who are hanging on every word of these clowns don't realize that when they turn their backs they are probably being mocked by the same people who they are voting for. You are being fooled by snake oil salesmen and insurrectionists, wake up before it's too late, listen to Bill Maher, he speaks reality.

I'm old and especially if it was at night, I would be creeped out by strangers sitting near my home in a car for hours. If I knew the kids and knew that it was just kids hanging out and nothing else it wouldn't bother me. I have to be honest though it would get my attention if they were strangers. Kids who I'm familiar with just sitting there on their phones and talking? Who cares, no problem.
