I agree S01 was far better than all of the following, but it was also the one closer to the original film, which is a great film from the Coen brothers. So, for me it was not very exciting. I've watched S03 and although the actors were great, the story just didn't grab me the same way. Hope you'll like it better (there are great critics about it).

Now you made me want to rewach it... it's been so long since I've seen it and still remember it well. It's definitely a reference in television. No matter how much time goes by, or how many movies/tv they make, to me, they ( the actors) will always be Nate, David and Claire.

I think that if you are willing to see any of these movies you should have sufficient film background to make that choice on your own, just by looking at the trailer ou reading the sinopse.
