Okay, clearly you're dumb, so I'll explain this in simple terms.

There are three factors at work here: Inflation, where everything gets slightly more expensive over time. Development, where Jersey City is improving and becoming significantly more expensive over time due to increases in demand. COVID, which drove the market out of whack but is a temporary effect that was wearing off in multiple ways throughout 2022 and has now mostly worn off.

The reason that OP's rent increased by 10% each year for the past two is that last year, it was still recovering from the temporary COVID effect. The reason that it's 10% higher than before COVID is that the long-term effects still apply. They are totally different subjects.

Like, do people actually not understand the massive discounts that were being offered in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID? Rents were obviously going to normalize when the world went back to normal, people.

A few weeks ago, he was interviewed after a Devils win (I think it was a Sunday afternoon game), and he said he was going to get hibachi after the game because his wife wanted it, and it was just across the street. A couple hours later, he posted a clip to his Instagram that was clearly from Teppan.

Whenever someone pulls bullshit with me, like almost hitting me at an intersection (thankfully, none of them have subsequently threatened me, although I have been "tapped" once on a run) is just to immediately take my phone out and take pictures of the person and the license plate. That turns them apologetic really quickly.

There's no fucking coverup. She committed a moving violation. She went to court. She got a suspended license from the judge. It's fucking over. I won't vote for her if she ever shows up on my ballot, but this obsession is as unhealthy as Twitter's obsession with the stupid fucking Harry Potter game.

Who the fuck cares. She hit some fucking loser who was running the light. The loser got what he deserved (getting hit by a car). She got what she deserved (loss of license for a year). Justice has been served.

It's $150. You two are 16 and 17, not 6 and 7. Get a part time job and you two will make that in a week.

Sure, what he and your mom did was shitty, and you're entirely within your rights to hold them responsible and try and get it back. But, in the grand scheme of things, it's a tiny amount of money.
