It is the simplest set of spacetime continuum coordinates. Omitting space or time, you miss a date ;)

Uhm... Dumb question: why they have to recur to a robotic arm? wouldn't be easier to plan an EVA? I mean... What are the risks for an astronaut to get a close look? Just curious...
