Reply to What's going on with PPL? Website billing has been screwed up a long time now and can't get through. by basement-thug
Folks on Nextdoor are reporting similarly outrageous bills.
According to one commenter, it’s all due a PPL system glitch. She said—without providing a source—that PPL wants customers to call in an actual reading to get their bill adjusted or pay it and receive credit for the overage.

Reply to comment by trying-to-be-kind in LAWSUIT: FIRE sues Pennsylvania county after officials ban talking politics in a public park by NeatPeteYeet
Further, the wrinkle is that the county refuses to give anyone permission to engage in any political activity at the park, ever. The plaintiffs should and will, hopefully, prevail.

Reply to police lights blue and white only no more red? anyone know why or what the meaning is? by [deleted]
Interesting aside: They just passed legislation permitting tow trucks to utilize rear-facing flashing blue lights during roadside recoveries. Apparently, this change was spurred by motorists not paying sufficient attention to amber lights alone.

Reply to Move Over Law Ticket - Has anyone had luck getting fees/points reduced? by nooneyouworkwith
Haven’t received such a ticket. Don’t know if points transfer between states. That said, if you want to see if you can have the penalty reduced, you must plead not guilty and appear in court.
In court, you may be able to make a deal with the police officer before the hearing starts. Failing that, you can make your case to the district magistrate.

They can’t start tabulating votes from mail-in ballots until Election Day.

The county said they sent it but she’d didn’t receive it or … ? There’s such a thing as an emergency absentee ballot, but they’re intended to be used if you didn’t know you were going to be absent prior to the deadline for requesting a regular one.
There’s nothing new under the sun, so hopefully someone will know what to do. I hope she can get this resolved, but I am skeptical, given the timeframe. 🤞 😔

They contain a toxin (I don’t know exactly how toxic they are). I identified the same species a few days ago and looked it up. They’re typically found near decaying trees and tree roots, I learned.

Reply to I don’t know if this is the right sub Reddit to post this but do I need a PA business license to go door to door with two of my friends and offer to clean their windows. If I do what type of license do I need and where should I go to get one. Any help is appreciated, thank you. by Equivalent-Club-5191
I suspect you may be asking about what’s known as a peddler or soliciting permit. It’s an authorization issued by local municipalities for going door-to-door within their communities. Reach out to your town hall, township administration, etc.

I’ve seen folks still complaining of problems on other social media sites. You’re not alone, apparently, FWIW.
