The rail that goes out there is actually pretty decent I used to take it as part of my commute, but it’s a pain in the ass the use. I guess it gets like 90% there so they figure why not extend it but it’s like priority 10005 for actual riders of SEPTA, and as many have said it would probably be better served as a bus rapid transit.

Sadly no, it’s 2 transfers, and extra zone charges.

It would have to be a big old shotgun to make that kind of boom, and the single intermittent shots are pretty unusual as well. But as I said, anything is possible in South Philly!

I heard them. Im at 16th and Wolf and the first two sounded like they were right out my window. The third was further away as you said. Seemed too loud and boomy to be gunshots. Sounded like fireworks, and while who tf is lighting off fireworks after midnight in the middle of a rainy winter night, anything is possible in South Philly!
Edit: just heard one more further away again.

My friend in Mt Airy texted me in South Philly asking if the world was ending. Wild it was that loud all the way up there! Air must be extra dense from the incoming rain and carrying sound extra well.
