In the early 2020s with increasing and regular waves of what was known as omicron coronavirus it became increasingly apparent that a human form would no longer suffice for the continuation of homosapien survival so each remaining individual moved toward the metaverse to continue their lives artificially, although flawed at first this virtual world opened new gateways to lives say 500 or 600 years of continuation.
