When I saw the title of the thread, I also thought, it's fine. The leap stuff is leapy. The non leap stuff is kind of lame.

That probably doesn't help. I did finish the series. I plan to read the book. The show seemed unwilling or unable to address the major themes of the book.

My wife loved the book. She couldn't stand that show. It seems it's another situation that they alienated the original medium audience while doing nothing in particular to gain a new audience.
