Crank Yankers would have been when you were in your teens. It was puppets voiced by comics making crank calls, aired after the Jon Stewart version of the Daily Show, hence the Jon Stewart/Tucker Carlson exchange: "Don't compare yourself to us, you're supposed to be real news. We're literally followed by puppets making crank phone calls."

I kind of agree with you? My point with mentioning GoFundMe as stated was to say don't do that. It seems like people set one up every time something happens and it just doesn't make any sense in the case of a business that's still open. If you like the business just support the business in the normal way: buy stuff.

Anyway, moot point: I guess someone approached the family with that idea and they said don't.

Also I can totally relate to not wanting to support a former employer.

Okay, so you're saying "storm's coming, all humans out."? I'm still inclined to give these guys the benefit of a doubt, but I can see that as a realistic thing that might happen somewhere.

It's a family owned and operated business. I'm going to give them the benefit of a doubt and suggest that they probably weren't intentionally risking the lives of their own family members.

They lost a few animals, but they'll remain open. Rather than do a GoFundMe I think a lot of us are just buying ice cream.

The 128 part is accessible and shows no signs of ever being blocked off, but at the same time it still looks and feels very much like just an old rail bridge.

I haven't been out there since last spring when this was recorded. Once it warms up I'll head out again and shoot the update.
