Yup. I was a member there a few years ago. Nice place.

If you're okay with cold and just trying to avoid ice, they plow the Minuteman bikepath. Still though, you might want spikes.

Totally different style of dive. Can't have a Thirsty First without a patio. Credit given where due though, it does meet the pole-blocking-the-stage criteria.

To fill in the gap: one of the upstairs tenants set off the sprinklers causing big damage.
General background: Great punk venue. There's been a bar in that spot at least going back to my dad's generation, although it's changed hands a bunch.
YouTube Thirsty First Lowell, tons of good clips are up there from shows recorded here.

It was a drive-by. When they did it to me they came up from behind. Headphones wouldn't have mattered.

Same thing happened to me a few years back on Dutton Street. Luckily wasn't that good of a throw. I don't think it's a trend, pretty sure it's just douchebags.

Pick your apartment complex carefully. Some of them have pretty negligent management. I'm not sure if Dee Tension is on here under any name, but on FB he's always good for a few horror stories of that nature.

Two New Hampshire lists with a few good options:
52 With a View. A lot of these are way up, but there's a few within 90 minutes or so. https://newenglandwaterfalls.com/52withaview.php
Fire Towers. Wicked easy/older kid friendly (little ones might not be safe on the actual towers). I think it was the one in Derry you can skip, basically just someone's driveway and barely gets above current treeline. http://4000footers.com/list_towerquest.shtml

Me too. I had a lot of fun swimming down there, but not the least bit surprised that people were getting hurt. Those were really tight dives.
