Blue Oyster Cult, a 2 hit wonder with Dont Fear the Reaper and Burning For You. Many other great songs on their albums, the latest released in 2021.

Yeah, got that same feeling after watching Breaking Bad the first time. But then that went away, and another sad feeling set in: that no show would ever come close to being that great. So far, none has.

You can do this pretty easily in Audacity, turn up or down treble or bass. Done it a number of times on my mp3s to correct the tone.

Start with happy or upbeat or positive playlists, search Spotify or youtube. Listen to some playlists, decide what genres and artists and styles you prefer, expand your listening from there.

Pat Benatar did backing vocals on John Waite's 1982 hit "Change", I'd heard the song for over 30 years when I discovered that.

Had a good alternative station in my city back then, also just browsing in used CD stores. Also my wife is younger, got me into metal and other weird stuff like Clutch.

Age 63. Thru age 40 it was no problem i found new music constantly. Then in the 2000s and 2010s, less and less and less. Past 5 years almost nothing. But last winter i discovered Lord Huron.
