Not at all what you're asking, but if you hit up Americade/Laconia Bike Week, you can try stuff out at the vendors.

I ended up with a pair of boots I never would have looked at online since a vendor had a special offer on them.

Option A gives you way more places to bail if the roads are really bad.

87 also gets substantially more traffic, at least to exit 20 where you'll get off for 149, than the highways in VT so there should be better tracks even if the plows can't keep up with the snowfall.

Not sure how old your baby is, but the Children's Museum of NH is right in Dover.

I have met moms by walking up to them and commenting on how well our kids play together and we should have a play date.

I think people in New England do the small talk/chit chat thing more than NYCers so once you break the ice, it's easier.

Bethlehem is one of those places where you need to bring in nearly everything you need- there are some cafes, the most awesome ice cream ever, a brewery, and a gas station and that is pretty much it.

Littleton is about 15 minutes away, but it is one of those places with several cute little shops and only a Walmart and a Lowes if you need to buy, say, a microwave.

I guess one way to look at it is do you want to be someplace where you need to rely on a car or not?
