That's why before this hike I never did it, I figured I would forget and they'd jack up the rate 500%. I set a cal reminder 6 weeks before my rate expires to make sure I'm on top of it.

Constellation is at .16, Town Square is at .11, so Constellation is not the only or best game in town. I've been watching it over the last few months and there is a lot competition for the lowest rates.

Assuming you don't have a smart thermostat, I'd also suggest using your WIFI router's mobile app to check power status. I have Nest thermostats and a Nest Router, and in my experience I only lose internet connectivity if my power fails. Also signing up for SMS alerts from your power co is good but sometimes they are very late.
Of course if you have a smart thermostat, you can have an alert set for when the temp dips below an acceptable limit, which would indicate heating system failure.

Lyme CT is actually the answer here, low key BIG money, take a ride through there sometime.

Very true, I don't buy snow tires because I don't want the hassle/extra expense and I think the all weather works fine. I've been in some bad stuff in my old Mazda 2wd and clearance was the issue, never the tires. If you look at the tread pattern on the WRG4 tires it's certainly unique.

Second the Nokian All Weather tires, I have been buying them for a long time and they're great in rain, snow, and normal conditions. The most recent model I got was the WRG4, great tires.

Love the complaints here about people with "shitty cars" who should stay off the road. Maybe those people with "shitty cars" need to go to work? Im sure most of us used to be that person at some point in our lives, and it sucks to drive a little shitbox in a snowstorm. Maybe don't drive like a dick in the snow?
